Hi I'm Anthony, I'm 33 years old (eek!). I'm Living in Merseyside working for Sony Computer Entertaintment Europe (or SCEE from here on in as I dont fancy typing that more than once in any paragraph!) as a character animator, although my skills involve helping out in various other areas as needed from time to time... like making cups of tea & coffee and poking fun at other staff with the use of Photoshop. Joking aside I'm quite clued up with lots of other areas of Maya like character rigging, modelling, texturing, and Lighting, & Rendering although like everyone else, always learning! At the moment I'm learning little bits of scripting to save me some time because as I get older I realise I'm becoming more and more impatient with software no matter how fast it gets hehehe!
Outside of working with Maya, I've used Adobe After Effects in Television production working with BBC, ITV, Channel5 & other national TV stations. I've also been able to work on a sci-fi motion picture in the past too. All good fun. I also have a good understanding of softimage XSI, and I'm also learning new bits of software as time goes on like blastcode and realflow.
I also enjoy making my own personal projects when spare time allows. I find these a great way to enhance my abilities, and keep the sometimes monotony of my day to day work from slowly eating away at me. You can view pretty much most of my work on my website which I use as both an online portfolio and a kind of work blog.
Aside from work I do alot of varied activities. I absolutely love martial arts having done kickboxing, thai boxing, karate, ju-jitsu, capoeira. They've all been dropped tho now in favour of committing myself to Wing Chun which is by far the most interesting and mind boggling martial art I've learnt and I hope to be doing that for a long time to come as it doesn't require strength and conditioning which will be handy as I get older hehehe! I am also hooked on skydiving which is a hobby I'm getting more and more into, with over 150 skydives in the last couple of years. I will hopefully acquire my C certificate which will allow me to go onto tutoring & possibly learning to coach in the near future. I also hope to learn wingsuit and maybe do a bit of BASE jumping from some cliffs or mountains - who knows! I now have all my own kit and its kinda cool to be able to truly say I'm a skydiver haha!
