Got to work on the rubber trim around all the windows - I really think this helps set off each piece of glass so thats cool. Added some spoiler detail (barely noticeable really but it makes it more accurate - basically a small lip on the back and a slight turn to the spoiler angle. Also Reversed the position of the front brake calipers which have been backward for ages now doh!

Tried rendering it out in white here - not 100% sold on it to be honest - It just feels mucky :/ Maybe it needs more Tcut on it lol!

Well working on the keyframing of the elements such as the lights and logos around the city is taking quite a bit of time. I'm using a few techniques but I'm finding windows vista to be a bit of a pain in the butt and it plays havok with the way afx seems to run :/ However I have managed to use soundkeys to sync the audio to the pulse of a texture and then I plug that into a shader in maya so the shader appears to beat in time to the music. the other method is quite simply hand keyframe it in maya then plug those keyframes into other attributes of other shaders. However for the time being I decided to do a bit of R&D into getting some nice studio lighting to show off models - heres what I've got so far...

..cool bit is there isn't even one light in this scene! Its just an infinity curve which gives the effect of the floor blending into the bg colour. Then I made some white cards that are hanging in space. These reflect in the car paintwork :) Tried it in white with dark n shiny wheels too to see how it looks

Decided to try the colour scheme on my own car and see how it turns out.. this looks pretty darn tasty. Got all the colour schemes in renderlayers now so I can choose what colour I want to work with.

Shattered after me wing chun class, 3 n half hours ..shoulders very sore now doh! Did a few last minute renders last night. Someone on the owners forum suggested black with bronze wheels. I also did a few corrections, Adjusted the alloys making the centre bigger and adding wheelnuts and centre cap. I made the wheels a touch smaller, lowered the bodywork and for these renders I also hid the front grill to show off the intercooler more.
